Winter Break Goalkeeper Clinic Location: Soccer and Sports Dome, 7855 Finch Ave W, Brampton, ON L6T 0B2 Date: Monday, December 22nd Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Give your goalkeeper the chance to train like a professional this winter. This 3-hour clinic will be ran by former professional goalkeeper Andreas Vaikla and will help keepers improve their technique, confidence, and overall game. Training is led by Andreas, former professional goalkeepers, current and former college keepers, and a special pro guest coach. Every keeper receives two pairs of gloves: • 1 pair of non-stick gloves for warm-ups to sharpen catching technique and hand strength • 1 pair of pro level goalkeeper gloves for the main session Total glove value is 220 dollars, included with the clinic. Technical Warm Up (Non Grip Gloves) We start with non-stick gloves to build perfect catching mechanics. • Hand shape • Contact points • Absorbing the ball cleanly • High repetition handling work Session Emphasis Sessions progress from technical warm ups to the full application of skills in real game like scenarios. Keepers will work through all the core areas needed to improve their overall game, including: • Diving • Handling • Crosses and high balls • Distribution and goal kicks • Hand eye coordination • Reaction saves • Close range blocks • Reading body shape • Second save situations • And much more Game Situations and Competition We finish with controlled game scenarios that help keepers apply everything under pressure. Grouping Keepers are placed into the right group based on age and skill. We have coaches for grassroots, academy, OPDL, college level, and advanced keepers.
